New version of Russian ring-string puzzle(1st Ed., May2007)

This article was written in May 2007. I posted this because it is well worth mentioning. It can tell you how a new design emerged from hard work.[The first time posted on Yahoo blog:2010-01-01]
The following two pictures are the original version, which was designed by a Russian gifted puzzle designer, Kirill Grebnev.[http://www.puzzle.palyn.ru/]

When I saw it by chance through internet, I at once picked up the right tools and materials to make it myself, and then tried to solve in the first place. I spent one night(30May07) and the next morning, mastering it, the time spent added together which was amount to about half an hour.

For my new version of this string puzzle, appearing in the following two photos was originated by me.

However the history of the development is deserved mentioning here. One day, I came across this new version by chance, but I was/am not sure how it came. Perhaps I myself or someone else accidentally made it and she/he or I took no notice of its significance.
The new puzzle is not easy to solve because it took me 6 straight days to successfully solve it. If hours spent were added up together, the time spent was about 8 hours. In fact, I could solve it once or twice each day for the first five days. However, I did not count myself successful that I had solved it until the sixth day, because during these five days, one thing made me extremely frustrated was that every time after I had separated the two rings from the rob, I could not put the two rings back. That meant I could solve the puzzle one way only. On the sixth day, I could remove the two rings and put them back more than four straight times without difficulty. This time I could say to myself my effort of six days paid off. Furthermore, I have upgraded myself to a higher level. In fact, during the first five days, in order to encourage myself not to give up, I was repeatedly telling to myself this was a real challenge, which was quite a good stuff of this kind!
It was worth trying because the more hours I have spent, the more difficult puzzle I have tried to learn, and the higher level I could attain.
